The Motorcycle Buyers is a motorcycle buying service operated as part of NPA Europe, the world leader in motorcycle remarketing. For the purposes of applicable data protection law (including the GDPR), NPA Europe is the controller of the personal data described below.

When you complete the valuation form on our website, we collect the details you provide:
- Motorcycle details — make, model, year and mileage
- Your location — postcode and city
- Your contact details — email address
We also collect standard technical information about visits to the site (such as pages viewed and approximate traffic sources) through our website analytics.
How we use your data
We use the details you submit for one purpose: to prepare and send you your motorcycle valuation.
- Your submission is sent to our motorcycle specialists, who review the details and email your valuation to the address you provided.
- We store the submission so we can follow up on your valuation and, if you choose to sell, arrange your offer, collection and payment.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to send you marketing you haven't asked for.
Our legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the valuation form and request a valuation by email. You can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us (see below).
Who we share it with
Your valuation request is handled by The Motorcycle Buyers / NPA Europe staff and trusted service providers who host our website and form systems on our behalf. They process data only according to our instructions and are contractually bound to protect it. We never sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
If you do not proceed with a sale, we keep your valuation request for up to 12 months, after which it is deleted. If you sell your motorcycle to us, we keep the records related to that transaction for as long as required by tax, accounting and vehicle-registration law.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data erased, to restrict or object to our processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
